NHS Services
Since 2007 Berkshire Independent Scanning has been providing a mobile ultrasound service for NHS patients in the community. Clinics are currently held in Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Hampshire.
Fully qualified female ultrasonographers work in the clinics using up to date ultrasound equipment . Appointments are booked to provide adequate time for the scan procedure and for patients to ask questions before and after the scan. Written reports are available on the same day as the appointment and if needed will be discussed immediately with the referring consultant or G.P.
There are many advantages of this local service including, short travelling distance to a local convenient location, free parking, short waiting times for appointments and a more personal service.
